Frequently Asked Questions

What is 3D Printing?

3D printing uses computer-aided design (CAD) to create three-dimensional objects through a layering method. Sometimes referred to as additive manufacturing, 3D printing involves layering materials, like plastics, composites, or bio-materials to create objects that range in shape, size, rigidity, and color.

What can I expect from your 3D printed products? What is the quality like?

Due to the printing process, items will have noticeable print lines. You may also notice small artifacts or imperfections. I inspect all of my prints and do allow room for errors. But only minor ones and major defects, I discard and reprint. I also use different techniques to get the nicest quality prints possible. This is an area I’m always striving to perfect and will continue to do so. You can learn more about my products on my About Me page.

What is your handling time on orders?

I try to get orders out as quickly as possible. Most orders ship within 48 hours, but larger orders can take anywhere from a couple of days to a week. I consider orders of 5 items or more as “larger orders”. Busy periods like Christmas and inclement weather can also cause delays. Generally, I will contact customers if orders will take longer than a couple of days.

What type of payments do you accept?

Currently, I accept PayPal, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, Diners, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Microsoft Pay.

I use Stripe as my payment processor for all transactions other than PayPal.

What does the shipping cost?

Shipping is FREE on all orders within the United States and to Military APO/FPOs.

How are items shipped?

Packages are shipped from Moore, Oklahoma.

I use USPS as my preferred shipping service and ship items by weight. Orders that are less than 1lb in combined weight ship by First Class Mail. Orders over 1lb ship by Priority Mail. Notifications with tracking info will be sent to customers when orders are ready to ship.

All items are shipped pre-assembled and in quality grade shipping boxes.

What is your return policy?

If you’re not satisfied with your purchase you have 30 days to return it for a full refund.

Some custom or “made to order” items may not be returnable.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have an issue or concern with your purchase. I want my customers to be happy and will work with you on a solution.

Do you do special requests?

It depends. If you’re just wanting to change the color scheme, add a texture like carbon fiber or even your name in vinyl, that’s no problem. You can just leave a note at checkout for most items.

If you’re looking for something like a controller stand or cartridge holder and can’t find a suitable one anywhere, please let me know. If it’s an item I think others might find useful, I’ll follow up on it. Many of the items I have listed are done per customer request, so don’t hesitate to send me yours.

One-off items unique to the customer I usually prefer not to do. It’s a time issue and depends on how many projects I have going. Feel free to send your request, I might be open to it.

Do you ship internationally?

At this time, I do not have things set up for international shipping, but you can always contact me. I can check manually to get the best rates. This is the same for other marketplaces that I sell on. I do have some items available for international shipping on websites like eBay and Etsy. For other items, please contact me. I do have problems with their systems calculating my weights correctly.

Do you ship to Military APOs, FPOs, DPOs, and P.O. Boxes?

Yes, I do! Always happy to support our troops serving overseas!

I can’t find the help I’m looking for?

Please contact me with any questions you may have. I currently do not have a phone set up to answer calls, but I can be reached via email at ktronics3d@gmail.com or use the contact form here.
