Formatted 500GB SATA HDD for PlayStation 2 PS2 Fat Consoles - FMCB 1.93 Free McBoot - Hard Drive Only
500GB SATA INTERNAL HDD ONLY-
FOR PLAYSTATION 2 FAT CONSOLES ONLY-
Things to note before purchasing:
1. You will need a SATA Network Adapter to connect this HDD to your PS2 Console.
A Sony Brand Network adapter will not work as it is for IDE drives only.
2. If you plan on connecting this drive to your PC via a SATA Adapter to transfer files, you will need
to install WinHIIP to read the drive and to transfer games. It will not work as a plug and play device
because of the file system. You can download WinHIIP for free via the internet. You will also need to run it as Administrator.
I also recommend downloading OPL Manager to organize, rename and download cover art.
3. This drive has FHDB 1.93(Free HDBoot), which is the hard drive version of Free McBoot, so you
do not need a memory card with FMCB on it, but you can use one in conjuction with this Hard Drive if you want, but it's not required.
4. These Seagate drives work great. I use them all the time with PS2 and XBOX Consoles.
Other than that...
This drive is set up and ready to go. Connect it to your SATA Network Adapter and slide it into your PS2. Launch Open PS2 loader from the menu
and you're ready to rock.
This drive has 135 FREE PS2 files installed.
Please keep in mind that I've tested most of the files, but not all of them.
I've also included some emulators like Atari 2600, NES, SNES and Sega Genesis.
Plenty of free files included (2000+) except for the Sega emulator as they will not boot from a HDD.
You can add your Sega ROM collection to a thumb drive and load them from there.
ROMS folder for the other emulators are located on drive in hdd0:/+OPL/APPS.
Emulators are setup to work with Open PS2 Loader.
I've also included a few extra themes.
